It benefits from a unique microclimate, making it warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The villages enjoy fabulous views towards the Peisey valley, Les Arcs and La Plagne Paradiski area.
In the summer, autumn and spring, the area is fantastic for hiking, mountain climbing, abseiling and paragliding. White-water rafting and kayaking are available in nearby Bourg-Saint-Maurice. The immediate locale is on a comparatively gentle slope for the area, making it a draw for cyclists looking for a less arduous ride. Nearest golf course is in Les Arcs - a 30-minute drive.
In the winter, there is an easy access to a range of ski areas.
